The way to remove the in dash cupholder:

First, I removed the Radio which was very simple.

You'll need to move the gear shifter out of the way first!

The radio has 2 thin verticle compression clips on both sides. Push them in, and then they will release further out for you to use as grab handles to pull the radio out.

Grab both of them and the radio just slides right out!

Once the radio is out of the way. release the cupholder so it is in the open position and you can grab it with one hand.

Slide the other hand up through the radio slot until you feel the back of the cupholder box.

While "gently" trying to pull with one hand, "gently" push out with the other hand.

:!: I say "gently", because it "will" pop out with alot of pressure, but you will also scrape your knuckles behind the dash! :(

Once out, just slide the new one in! :D

This whole process took me a total of 3 minutes at night in the rain! 8)

I have seen them on Ebay for $50 +$15 for shipping. I just bought mine directly at Volvo for $90.

Hope this Helped!
