Airconditioning Vents "96 960

Air flow won't come out vents even with control knob switching. compressor is on and fan blowing but won't come out vents. just stopped last Sunday

You may have a vacuum leak some where or the controler in the dash is not functioning correctly. Start with the vacuum leak first.

DanR I was affraid of maybe vacumn leak but it just stopped all the sudden, better get me repair manual on this one. dropping the passenger knee dash? oh boy. and in Memphis
it is so hot now thank you for being out there trying to help us volvo owners.

Dan R. you are worth your weight in Gold. the air vent issue was exactly the rubber vacumn hoses against the firewall. they had rotted. something so simple. Volvo uses a whole lot of rubber for everything. and it will dry rot with engine heat and weather.
