Reset Check engine light
I had my check engine light come on today, had Auto Zone run a diagnostic and realized that my fuel cap was loose, which has happened before, any idea how I can reset the check engine light, and the service light?
The check engine light should go off by itself, after the problem is detected to have been solved. The code(s) will still be present, but you can erase those with most code readers.
There is a howto on this site with details on resetting the service light. Check it out.
*edit* Forgot the link to the howto - here it is:

On a '98 I think your only options to reset the service reminder are to get a dealer to reset it with their Volvo Scan Tool, buy a Draper reset tool, of use a software based system like Vol-FCR.
