S80 2.5T, 2004, Replacing Brake Rotors

Post by blanken »

I tried to replace my brake rotors during my last brake pad relacement. I removed the calliper assembly and moved it clear of the rotor and then removed the 10mm retaining bolt. I then beat on the rotor (from the back of the rotor) with a rubber mallet many times but the rotor would not break free. Did I do something wrong or just not hit it hard enough?

Use a metal hammer and hit it harder if necessary. It's probably rusted on.
