Ceramic brake pads

Post by alanro »

My 08 s40 2.4 will need brakes soon. I can see that the rear pads are worn a little more than the front.
It seems that you can order good quality rotors 60-80 bucks each from several suppliers. Like IPD's Zimmermans.
But what about pads?
I used RM QuietStop ceramics on several domestics, and know that they produced very little dust, lasted forever, and required less pedal pressure to stop.
What is out there in ceramic for front and rear on these cars?

Thanks, Alanro

I have Akebono Euro Ceramics on my car. So far they've been OK. Apparently they're only available for the front of your car at the present time.

EBC makes several different types of pads that will fit your car. The RedStuff is kevlar and ceramic based. www.ebcbrakes.com
.

SOLD - 2001 Volvo S80 T6: Mobil 1 Oil & Synthetic ATF, Brake Performance drilled and slotted front rotors, Akebono Euro Ceramic pads and Yokohama Avid V4S tires, 91K miles.
