1993 850 Interior water leak

Post by eroosa »

I am getting a lot of water on the interior floor (passenger's side) every time it is parked and it rains pretty hard. It appears to be coming in from firewall under the glove box area. It looks like I will have to take the wiper arms and the plastic cowling under them off. Before I tear things apart I was looking to see if there is a common problem area that causes this.

Thanks again,
Ed

There are two drain tubes at the lowest points of the plastic cowl. Mine were completely clogged and water was pooling there and nearly over flowing in to the blower intake. Depending on how level the ground you park on may alter the ability of the water to get in. I never had an interior problem though.
