can't go over 25 MPH

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

Ok had a whistle only happened at 2000 RPM's found small broken pipe on intake pipe, fixed it, after repair tried to recreate noise ( whistle )but when reving engine the sound went to a deep groan and then the car would not go over 25 MPH, just before groning started heard something like rust running up a pipe.Went to dealer they have had the car 4 days can't figure it out what is wrong, anyone want to help with this??????????? 2001 S80 2.9 eng

What engine, year. Turbo or non, etc.
What do you mean by intake pipe?
