Timing belt change due....anything else to change at same ti

Post by mitch »

Hi All,
My S60 is coming toward 96k & am planning to get the belt changed in the next few months........is there anything else that should be changed at the same time ( aux belt etc) ?
Also, looking at VADIS it advises on the 96K to clean the nipples & hoses as per cranck case ventilation.....what is this & does it really need doing?
Thanks in advance
Mitc

The service programme shows both timing belt and auxiliary belt should be changed at 96,000 miles along with their respective tensioners. A bit annoying actually as US models have these items replaced at 105,000 miles. Ah well, rip-off Britain.

You don't specify the engine but the PCV cleaning is for the turbo only.
