240 Wagon Speaker Repair
Help! I want to repair the speakers on my '92 240 wagon. When I purchased it, the rear passenger side speaker was crackly (bass was dying), but the other 3 speakers worked fine. Recently, the 3 good speakers quit (no sound), leaving the bad crackly one as the only one working? This is a strange puzzle. How can I go about systematically/methodically repairing the three non-functioning speakers? Obviously, I will replace the crackly, bad speaker, which I still get sound from. Thanks for the input!

For the three speakers to go at the same time is unusual and would lead me to think that there is a problem with the amplifier. It could be something simple like a plug working loose.
If that is not the problem then to check them methodically I would connect each one in turn to the known good leads - the rear passenger side - and see if they work.

Work was good - retirement is better.
