I already have a couple of projects!
(1) I just added a 12v socket under the dash to route/hide my SAT NAV's (TomTom) power cord.
It was simple but think I might have a couple tips and can share details if anyone is interested.
(2) Next, I am going to add an aftermarket rearview monitor and rearview camera but need some help with how to remove the hatch trim.
I pulled the panel back a little and I can see some moulding clips but hate to continue pulling if it's also mounted some other way (screws, etc.).
Anyone have some advice before I proceed?
Also, I think better buy some clips before I start the job but don't know what to order.
Do I just order "panel clips"? Any other kind of clip?
Once I begin the project, I will document and take some pics (maybe video too) because others might be interested to try this if I get mine to work.
Project Details:
I didn't want an on-dash or in-dash setup. I want my rearview monitor installed where I would have normally been looking...towards the rearview mirror. But I want to hide the monitor when it's not in use. I chose to modify my overhead dome to house/hide it. So, the monitor I ordered is a 3.5", full auto flip open/close (when in reverse/drive), adjustable, color LCD.

I want the rearview camera to 'sort-of' look OEM, so the camera I ordered is a 1/4" Sharp CCD with 170 degree view angle that comes in several colors; my XC90 is white.
(see http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/170-REAR ... ccessories)
Finally, to be prudent, I also ordered a used overhead dome from ebay so I won't damage mine if I make a mistake.
You can see my crude project plan in the pic attached.
I hope you guys can help me...look forward to ANY advice on ANY portion of my project. Thanks!!
