Hello,
I have a broken heater hose coupling on the firewall side. I keep reading that you need to remove the gas pedal to replace the coupling, but I cannot figure out how it is done. Is it taken off at the main pivot point, where the pedal is attached to the bulkhead? I see a metal tab under the pivot point that I've pressed up and in and out, to no avail.
There are a couple nice tutorials out there on how to remove the heater core, but I would rather not have to go that far.
Any advice?
Thanks,
John
850 95 - How to remove the gas pedal?
There should be a bolt going through the pivot point of the pedal it may be held by either one or two Circlips or plain C Clips [no idea what you call then in the states] Otherwise it will be held by 2 or 4 bolts bolted to the bulk head. Will check on my 93 850 I guess they will be all similar.

The bolts to the bulkhead are inaccessible until I can get the main pivot point off.
I believe there is a bolt at the pivot point, but it appears to be enclosed in some sort of a plastic knob on the left side of the pivot point, and I can't really see or access the right side of the pivot point due to the tight fit. There may be some type of c-clip on the right side, but it is just too hard to see or get to.
Has anyone else done this?
Thanks,
John
