I don't know about the earlier TCU on the 850's but the later 98- stock TCU gets flaky above 12 psi boost.

My 'R' is running stock injector and a 19T (standard) turbo but is boosting to near 20 psi with a IPD TCU. It also has a Rica tune which it had when I bought it and which supposedly takes the engine from 265 bhp to around 310 bhp. When I first got the car it really flew with a hair trigger gas pedal, but the local dealer 'fixed' that by wiping the software and changing my Xemodex ETM operation. Car just does not feel as fast anymore. It has the tune re-installed but they were not able to back date the ETM software.
