Help, Advice and DIY Tutorials on Volvo's P80 platform cars -- Volvo's 1990s "bread and butter" cars -- powered by the ubiquitous and durable Volvo inline 5-cylinder engine.

I would pass on this car as well,unless you need the transportation asap and your budget only support this car and you need wagon for your everyday life. If you have very specific needs in terms of car that only volvo can satisfy and you can possibly wait a little, I would contact Torch Light Motors in NJ and ask them to find you a volvo of your choosing. At least this way you will buy from someone who is known to deal with volvos and service them prior to sell(timing belt, etc) so you will have at least some peace of mind buying old car. Hope you will find something that will work for you and will not let you down

It is not a GLT, if it has AWD. The 1998 AWD has many obsolete parts in the rear axle carrier and suspension, obsolete as in no longer available. If it truly comes back as an AWD M56 it’s a tourist/diplomat import or a Canadian model imported into the US.

I would pass on this as a budget daily driver due to the obsolete parts situation. No one can fix your car if they can’t get parts

I suspect it is an AWD now and that VIN is for a different car. AWD is a solid pass.
