The big mid brace from the verts does make a difference. We have one on both of our cars. The little front V-brace can't be used on the non-vert subframe unless you add threaded inserts to the front to mount it. If you see one of the big braces in the yard, it's usually not a waste of time to grab it (and all of the hardware).
The big one drops in.
I found an Ultra Racing rear brace that we have on her car, and I copied it and made a beefier one for mine. This also adds stiffness, which you can notice.

I would add that subject to checking at some point, the brace may NOT fit an AWD P80 as I think the rear mounts are used by the center bearing mount on the prop-shaft.

Might as well get it if its reasonably cheap and won't take much time. Worst case, you can sell it to someone who is convinced that it's amazing. Seems easy enough to install/remove that it's worth testing.
Another thread mentioned that the C70 also has a small front V brace as well as the large one we know and love. Try to get both and their hardware. The front one may be harder to get because it's under the engine, as I understand. The thread has pictures but I can't find it.

As I mentioned above, the small V bolts to threaded inserts the the subframe. Easy enough to remove if they haven't spin and won't hold while you try and remove the bolts. You will need to copy said mounting provisions in a non-Vert subframe if you want to use it.FireFox31 wrote: ↑10 Apr 2023, 15:55 Might as well get it if its reasonably cheap and won't take much time. We have one that I'll probably use on her car, but I may build something else for mine.
