Sad to hear. Flying can be very unforgiving. It's still safer than driving, I'm told. Dad's CO in the Army was lost along with 6 others in a U-21 (16-18081) Beechcraft flying from Elmendorf AFB to King Salmon in 1977. They still haven't been found.
