The XC60 is going back to the owner today (hopefully). I have warned them that I have not definitively identified the cause of the car cabin electrics going haywire on the last collection attempt.
I now think the battery is weak (recommended to replace before winter at 7 years old) but still ok, and the issue is down to the either the an unintended soaking from the windscreen washer pipe leaking and spraying a load of water into the area of the control box the B+ cable goes to, or that stupid fusible link on the B+ cable.
Again, I have notified the owner this may be a pending issue to be aware of. I don't want to get into this as the part is $170 for the repair kit from Volvo and you need a decent large wire crimper for the repair crimp which I don't have. Nor do I want to start trying to break it open to confirm there is an issue to only break it when it may be ok. The owner understands this so is good.
I really need to get on with my own car repairs and have a bunch of pending work due!
Neil.
