Yes, I am certain. I think one of the reasons the HU units fail after 20 years is their proximity to the vents, and perhaps they cooked during winter when we have heat on full blast and deteriorating foam insulation in there.

I think you will drop off the car to a scrap yard before your aftermarket unit ever fails.
