Could be worse, you could understand chiral AND own an AWD P80 with many parts for the aluminum rear sub-frame NLA.

I’ve read enough threads on the AWD’s to be thankful I don’t own one, and I’ve developed more than a bit of empathy for those of you who do.

And thank you for the link to autodoc. I can’t believe the number of purveyors of that part. I’m thinking many are buying them by the bushel from some Chinese factory and rebranding them in their box. I thought I might reach out to the UK Volvo Club to see if there is a true preference or regard for quality but I’ve not done that yet. I noted they actually have a £65 member fee so I won’t be joining.

The Kat was a nice story, I got it for peanuts , drove it for 15k miles, and gave it to a needy person

My new to me Awd is a South car and is dry and clean on the rear axle, life is good

Love a southern car. Almost went to Tucson where my brother lived at the time to truck shop. Bought a new one instead…stupid. A couple buddies flew out there in the early nineties and drove their finds home together, a Datsun 2000 and a Bugeye Sprite. Super clean cars.

And I’ve been dreaming about a V70R from the south land, not sure how that would fly around here, and our V70 seems like a very nice ride..

You can never have too many Volvos!

It was sad to see the other day a 98 V70R dragged into the junkyard. Looked like a tidy car but the side was smashed in.
