If you can't get hard parts that are overpriced or no longer available from Volvo at a local junkyard and wear items from FCP/IPD then it will be a money pit just for parts. If you can't fix the Volvo yourself it will also be a money pit. My local Volvo dealer is $195/hr for labor.
Also, I have the Gothenberg variant of this mental disorder because I refuse to work on rusted out cars and I'm not interested in payments for new cars.
