It is not uncommon for door locks to seeze. If you are unable to open/close the door lock with battery charged or not- i suspect mechanical issue. If you are able to move the cylinder lock from open/close but nothing happens- inspect linkage between cylinder lock and door lock mechanism.

Well if battery is charged, the lock will work no problem with remote or key, but if the battery is discharged, turning the key in the barrel do not operate the lock at all, no movement, like if it disconnects itself when battery is dead.

It is strange. I never ran into such issue. The safety strategy should always allow key entry with discharged/disconnected battery. I would remove the door skin and would check if no prior modification was made to the lock with possibly aftermarket lock assembly d/t prior failure, burglary prevention system instalation...if everything checks good, I would opt for bench test of each individual component and clean/lubricate/adjust assuring smoth operation.

Yeah, it's really abnormal but for now i'll leave it as is as the door lock need replacing anyway for another issue (unrelated to this one). Sadly can't diy it as Volvo created the shittiest window mechanism on the C70 mk1 (cant remove lock without removing window and mechanism, and ressembly is difficult as window mech has to be adjusted precisely or window wont go up.)

For update about the main topic :
Battery for now seems ok when car sits for about 1.5 weeks, so for now, i'm not digging deeper in the car as i need it for my upcoming holidays.

I don't envy you working on that window mechanism on the C70. Now that new 'cassette's with the wires already fitted are not available new, it relies on buying aftermarket wires and trying to set the window up. Not fun.
