My main love is Swedish Bricks, but I love pre-1983 Mercedes-Benz cars. I also have a 1972 Mercedes-Benz 240 D which I cherish. It was left to me by my mentor in broadcast engineering, Bill Blackburn. I plan on keeping that car indefinitely as a tribute to a man who supported and believed in me when I needed it most.

I sold the Porsche and replaced it with a S70 for my daughter.

Lee, I'm wary of changing the poll setup. Last time I did that it nuked all the poll data. So... no.

Maybe I'll cryogenically freeze this poll and start a new one (with changable votes), and after a year or so we can compare the two and see if there's been movement toward/away from certain brands.

HAD a Audi 5E or '78 100 model. Best handling/riding car ever owned. Chewed fuel pumps: Bosch K-Jetronic system needed sorting or throwing :)

No reason to mess around with anything besides Volvo in my eyes. Tried driving a Jetta for a while and the constant repairs I had to do were driving me mad! I am a firm believer in loyalty and I am loyal to the Volvo brand. Although if my friend ever hands me the keys to his Benz I'll probably take it for a spin.
