Okay, so I have the following choices suggested:
- Michelin Primacy MXV4
- General Altimax HP
- Continental Extreme Contacts
I currently have the Fuzion HRi and those seem okay, just a little loud and rough. But I suppose that both of these issues is due to the low tread.
What about BFGoodrich g-Force Super Sport A/S???
I am looking at tirerack and comparing tires.
***Also, how do I prevent rubbing of the tires? I can see that they have rubbed in all 4 spots. This could be due to tight turns (not as good at the ole 945t haha- of course its RWD) and rear shocks and mounts were shot.

Oh, sorry - I got confused. MIJ has the Generals.
There is a handy comparison chart option at Tire Rack. Pick one of these tires and then the "Survey Results" link. Then pick "Compare with other tires of this type". Voila.

Good price, great tire and from a good company with a long history!
Best tire they've made in a long time (IMO), btw.
Almost went with those myself but price wasn't as good then as they are now.

I haven't tried the Primacy MXV4, but have had several sets of Michelin Energy MXV4 tires on my Volvos and Mercedes diesels and I much prefer the Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S that I have on my 850 now. Ride is smooth and quiet. Steering response is quick. Wet and dry handling is very good. About the same price as the Primacy MXV4 at Tire Rack.

These are completely different... nothing alike according to those over at TR who have rated both.mcp wrote:I haven't tried the Primacy MXV4, but have had several sets of Michelin Energy MXV4 tires

It only rubs on full lock right?
I would just avoid that as much as possible, or you could get extensions on your stop locks attached to your ball joints (could be these plastic pieces are worn out anyway- worth a look). Of course with such, you wouldn't have as much of a turning radius.

Okay, well I will keep an eye on it to see if the new tires rub.
I am supposed to get in my order today from tirerack.
I'll keep you posted on the new tires, as I am about to give them a 2,000 mile test starting Friday.
