I don't have a picture but when I was searching there was a tread that had a picture of one. If I can find the thread I'll try to post it. On our 02 XC it is in the tube going from the inter cooler to the ETM. The sensor located where the tube starts to go under the intake manifold. Part number on the box is 9125462. The electrical connector is at about a 45* angle. The intake air temperature sensor is located next to it down stream.
I found the thread but don't know how to link it. It is a link to Volvospeed in a Matthew's Volvo Site thread titled "2001 V70XC p0236 & p0237 codes" that was posted by HAL.

Yeah, I found it here: http://www.fcpgroton.com/product-exec/p ... ory_id/116 Although the '98 one looks identical, it's location is different and part number is too. Just a btw, here is the one for the '98's: http://www.fcpgroton.com/product-exec/p ... ory_id/116

It's also called the Boost Pressure Sensor but Volvo (and VADIS) usually call it the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor. The common problem is the o-ring getting old and hard, shrinking and causing a leak in the vacuum. This part is not to be confused with the Turbo Charge Controller. The controller has 3 hose connectors and the electric connector, where the MAP connects directly to an air intake hose (flush with two side tabs) with the electrical lead coming off at a 45 degree angle as said before. This is common to cause a P0236 and P0237 OBD-II error pair. The VADIS equivalent code is ECM-1600. Even if the atmospheric pressure sensor is causing the error, it's usually the MAP/Boost Pressure Sensor, and that's the diagnostic solution directly from VADIS.
