1978 245DL No Start after fuel line change

I can offer an idea. I have a 1989 240 and had a very similar problem. The car cranked and cranked, but never fired. I had no spark, so changed the ignition coil and it still didn't work. After spending another $150 on various relays and such, I pulled a 25A fuse out of a white holder that was located on the fender wall to the rear of the battery. This fuse is tied in with the feeders off the positive side of the battery. The fuse was good, but the holder was expanding with age. I cleaned it up, put a bit of bulb grease on the blades of the fuse, bent them very slightly so I was sure they were making contact, and the car started right up. I would check the engine compartment carefully to see if you have such a fuse. That small link causes big problems.

I will give it a try Buut i see no fuse any where, all I have is a heavy red wire with a # tag that goes to a small junc. box with spade clip conns.

The fuse in question was only fitted to the LH-Jetronic system.
