2001 V70 wagon Auto window wont go back up

Mine was slowly getting worse and worse until it just wouldn't roll up right before getting onto the coquihalla.. Which was miserable.
Ended up just separating the controls from the door and ripping off the button for it and pressing the switch in. Still worked perfectly fine. Didn't have to replace any motors or fuses or anything
