Thanks.

I got 4 codes the first time. Then I got 1 code the next 2 times. The code I'm left with is 4-1-2, which is "Return valve, LH front wheel, open circuit or short circuit." I have looked all over the internet and I can't find anything on how to fix this. It sounds relatively easy, but I don't know. Do any of you know of fault code 4-1-2?

Oh, and the SRS code was 2-3-2, which I cleared and my SRS light went off. If I found the correct diagnosis, 2-3-2 is this: "Long term fuel trim idling, upper limit." Whatever that means. lol But like I said, it went away.

I have never seen a 4-1-2 before. Usually the problem is the ABS sensor at that wheel, or a loose or dirty connection to that sensor. Check there, try to clear it again, and see what happens. If not, maybe someone with an older 850 will shed some light on that for you.

The SRS code 2-3-2 is actually for the 'drivers side pretensioner open circuit'. There's a clock spring in the steering wheel that can throw a code for that. See if that one stays away.

Thanks for that info.

I have another question. If the ABS light is on, which it is, this means the ABS system is disabled, correct?

Also, if the ABS system is disabled, does this also disable cruise control?

Also, :) , the cruise control "switch" which is located next to the stop/light switch next to the brake pedal, the piece that holds the "switch" on to the bracket which allows it to touch the brake pedal is broken. I think the "switch itself is fine, its just that I can't hold it in place b/c the plastic piece that holds it in place is broken. Does anyone know if this part is sold seperately? There are no junkyards up here for me to get one from.

Thanks!

Correct, ABS is disabled.

It shouldn't disable cruise control. That may be disabled if the cutout switch is broken, however.

And here is the cut-out switch.

Thanks again. I'm going to have to get one of those since I broke it putting a stop/light switch in. However, the cruise wasn't working prior to that. I looked through some past threads and I'm going to start with the vacuum lines and keep on going.
