Then you probably need a new siren module. See: https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums ... 11&t=17479dtropnevad05 wrote:No as a mater a fact the there is something wrong with the alarm also. There is a message on the left side of the dash the say something about "Service Alarm System Required" maybe.

My apologies. They are next to each other in my folder and I hit the wrong one. I could blame old age, being tired or too busy but I shall be honest - I was careless. It says intake manifold removal but it is for exhaust manifold / gasket replacing.

Ordered a used siren form Eire.com should have it next week maybe I can get this thing fixed.
BTW the Vadis is working have been poking around looks like it is from 2005 anyone know if there is a way to get updates for it? Latest TSB's and such would be nice.
Also Morgan called this afternoon telling me that there is a triangle with ! in the meddle. No messages and all the doors and trunk are closed sent her a text to check the hood before see leaves School. Any other ideas?
Did tell her in the TXT to lock and unlock X3 with the remote and see if it goes away. I do like this car but it sure can be a BPITW (big pain in the wallet)
Upon thinking it is snowy I wounder if she spun the tires and it's just the TC kicking in? What do you think?

OK, just be advised that the used one will probably malfunction in the future (the battery leaks and eats the computer board) and you'll have to do the job over again. Is the unit from a newer car?dtropnevad05 wrote:Ordered a used siren form Eire.com should have it next week maybe I can get this thing fixed.

BTW it was low on washer fluid, filled it up and the light went out. Anyone want a Daughter?

No thanks, I have one and she was only 5'1" tall and liked to sit close to the steering wheel; sometimes after she drove the car, I forgot to check the seat before I got in; I really HATE my knees up under my chin. The worst part was when she would forget to roll the window back up and it rained at night, damn wet seat on the way to work.
Still love her though, she's my oldest and has always had a special place in my heart.

Regarding the blank display with the alarm triangle:
Not sure if you tried it, but rotating the ring on the turn signal arm will change the display mode. In certain instances the display will be blank.
Every now and then my display will be blank, rotating the ring does the trick.

MV I tried that but didn't get anything until I turned off the car then restarted it, received the "Alarm System Service Required" and then "Low washer fluid" filled the washer reservoir and the light went out!
