For my part I eased into the transition and I have not yet completely gotten there.
I went early on to Valvoline High Mileage Syn Blend. I am still running it at 240k miles on the '94 N/A and since it doesn't leak I think I may just stay there.
Since the '94 has a new RMS (PM along with the clutch change) I may make the jump and go full synthetic at the next oil change.
Decisions, decisions.........

I switched at 130K when I got my car, and for the most part had no leaks at that point (except the cap seal).
Earlier this year, I have begun to lose seals, oil lines, and everything associated with the turbo/PCV system, but I attribute it to the age of the car rather than synthetic oil.
IMO, the switch was totally worth it in the smoothness of the before-rough engine, and the fact I have to change it much less.
