We'll it's now been more then a week and the wife called today as the engine now appears to be "missing" somewhere. CEL with three codes which are all over the place if considered individually. 1352, 0121 and 1238...which appear to be DI #2, Turbo gate and drive by wire concerns...unless someone knows a special situation that causes these I'm simply going to put the old plugs back in, reset codes and see what happens.
Yes my ETM is the yellow sticker...but at 140K miles could it be failing again and does coil #2 and turbo gate really have much to do with such an error? I may repost a new thread...but right now my parinoia points toward damn plugs!

Good for troubleshooting but not a solution. They went into the trash after the car ran a week with no issues.
There has to a viable solution to what I think is just the common plug issue rather then pay $50 and drive 30 miles just to get plugs stamped Volvo on them that are mad by sommon else! I've read enough to think coppe is the solution.
He'll even they American car motor head at auto zone tonight has heard turbos and platinum dont alway play well with one another.
Or maybe my direct ignition module, etm and turbo all failed rather exac same time!

I would suggest you spend the $50 or go to autozone and spend 30 for "OEM" traditional plugs. Either way they may or may not make a difference but at least you will know with the volvo plugs that the plugs are not the cause if it continues to act up.
I agree in the name of troubleshooting to reduce all variables to know values, but sometimes paying 5 times more and driving an hour just doesn't work, if not on principal alone!
How do you define OEM plugs...from what I've read there seems to be much debate on who truly makes the plugs sold by Volvo. I think I've seen different sites claiming champion, bosch and NGK alike as the original builders of the Volvo branded plug. Seems copper should solve the need assuming my conflicting CEL codes are not related.

UPDATE: Two days with NKG Copper plugs (I think they were called V Power). They were already gapped at .028, so I was good there. Purring like a kitten, for now...as my Bosch on the 2nd install worked for almost a week before they gave a rough idle and threw codes.
Unless you hear back from me ranting and going to the Volvo stealer-ship for plugs...we'll consider copper a fix for my car.
