That wiring arrangement makes more sense to me, when in Dolby mode you get all the effect such as surround from the rears but no center channel.
NO YOU DO NOT
ALL three (3) of my Volvos have this radio, one with a center channel, two without.
The two WITHOUT a center channel have no provision for Dolby.

Push the mode switch and nothing happens, it stays on stereo only!
YES I DO
I have the Pro Logic decoder all connected, just the centre speaker wasn't working and i now know the problem as above the centre speaker is dead. The Pro Logic works as stated due to this just with no centre channel, if it didnt have the decoder you would be correct.

I may looking at a new one, just got the hump now i wanted to hear what it sounds like.

Well OBVIOUSLY with a processor you will.
You stated you have Dolby with no center channel
A normal, reasonable person would take that to mean the car has no center spreaker installed not that the speaker is bad....!

Of course you would have Dolby, the processor does not know the speaker is not working

Hi JRL

Not wanting to sound off but you havent read the first post corectly it clearly stated that i had a dash top with centre speaker and a Pro Logic decoder with the centre speaker wiring!!!

I stated that the decoder was working fine, i was using to play CD's with the Dolby on and the centre speaker volume turned up!

Any reasonable person would assume that i was asking about the wiring, as stated!

Thanks to all those who have helped with this problem.
