I'm so surprised (or should I say bewildered) that no-one at the dealership can offer you a fluid change or even SUGGEST that an aftermarket cooler will add years of life to your tranny if you regularly tow, and have enough people chimed in with "get thyself a fluid change" yet?
It seems that too many dealerships place a great deal of service managers with a lack of practical mechanical experience.
A friend of mine was a dealer manager in the copier industry when he tired of it and a power tool company scalped him. He said it took years for him to feel "confident" at his job. I imagine dealer service managers may be similarly placed, after all they are looking for candidates with a track record of effective bean counting.
