S-70 won't start...occasionally

Post by Mary »

I had the same problem for about a year before the stupid dealership figured out it was the Antenna Ring on the ignition. A $15 part.....many $100's later. The car always turned over but it might take 20-30 turns for it to start.

My 2002 C70 has intermittently exhibited a very similar start problem. Turn the key and it will start, rev up and stall. From there it will crank and not start. Often if you remove the key and reinsert it will then start. I wonder if it is a design problem as the dealer has twice replaced the antenna ring in the steering column and also made new keys. I was great for about a year but now has started to do the same thing again.
