This is a separate connector under the hood near the left hand shock tower (early on) and later under the fuse box cover

The clutch switch is up forward of the clutch pedal - Im surprised you can disconnect it as on the 99 it talks to the ECU and usually uses logic to enable starting - it might just be an on/off though.

Marco - if your clutch switch is disabled, does your cruise control drop when you hit the clutch?
