New mounts support engine and transmission, these were replaced in past 18 months. Now I have replaced the two engine pads. OEM for front is Hutchinson, and Corteco for rear.

The passenger and driver front doors would open wide, swing out farther and faster than I could reach to grab it. After reading MVS posts, it was broken door stop. Replaced one on either side Front Door Stop - Part Number: 9187591.

The rear wheel systems is like a band making its own music. It was time for rear brake job, replaced parking/emergency brake pad, but not the calipers. I have chamfered shim to go in at the time of next repair.

I did not want to go into another winter with rear suspension dragging under load. The project grew to include new muffler replacement.

Cold weather arrived early this year. Found the fan blow at setting 4 -- no air at 1,2,or 3. It is an MCC unit with slider knob settings 0 - 4. Volvo/Behr parts. The heater core was replace not too long ago.
From radiator to resistor, all original parts in heating and cooling are now replaced. Evaporator looks OK for now.

I am working on the fitness of this car more than driving it. Averaging $0.19 for each mile since 2010.
October/November 2012 repairs included: Front Suspension with Bilstein TC Struts; Installed New Front Hub-Bearing; Rebuild Driveaxle from Raxles, and replaced both driveaxle seal; Inner and Outer Tie Rods, and boots; Complete Alignment.

15,400 miles later, there was one clunk at the first start each morning, reverse or drive. Similar in character to our 2001 V70XC which ended with broken front passenger spring. Many DIYers would point to axles and cv, but I say old coil spring has a tear which is getting severe with each clunk.

Since the rear suspension was overhauled recently, I suspected front coil spring. It was original.

After P0410 code replaced the rubber elbow at each connection at secondary air system. It is back to CEL free.

The air pump is good for cold start in snow country.

Update since December 2015 log. It run on Pennzoil 5W40 Euro Full Synthetic.

• September 2018: Tune up - replaced with all Volvo spark plugs, cabin filer, air filter, and fuel filter

• July 2018: 4 Pirelli tires

• June 2018: Duracell Battery 48

• March 2018: Annual Oil and Filter Change

• March 2018: ATF D&F

Extreme temps these days. Pennzoil 5W-40 Full Synthetic is magical with 48 (6H) battery. The engine oil burn rate is close to a liter each year of driving 7500 - 8000 miles for a oil and filter change cycle.
