New a/c compressor (courtesy of FCP) was fitted last week and the orifice tube was also replaced.
Again it blows nice and cold... the owner of the garage conceded that there may have been something that they did that contributed to the a/c compressor's demise. I paid for the compressor and he paid for the fitting. Also got a puncture repair done on the passenger side rear wheel.

Changed oil with Penrite Enviro 10W 40 full synthetic and new Bosch filter at 286,000 kms as well as new oil cap gasket and crush washer. Last oil change was at 277,000kms using Penrite 10W-50 full synthetic.
While driving with headlights, demister, A/C and heater fan on voltage dips with engine on to under 13.0V There's 1001 uses for running the Torque application on my mobile phone
It's time for a new regulator.
Also noticed a slight hesitation at WOT yesterday. Will replace spark plugs this weekend.

Replaced driver's side main beam halogen globe
Also replaced a full set of Volvo multi prong genuine plugs part # 8642660 at 286, 241 kms and applied anti seize to threads.
Discovered the source of slow coolant leak; the coolant reservoir hose clamp required a re-tighten.

At 300,100 kms fitted 16" Tellus wheels from a '01 XC 70 and paired them with 205/50/16 inch Toya Teo tyres. The value was amazing by Aussie standards at $140 per tyre.

304, 100kms.
Replaced the timing set and water pump with an OEM set from FCP. Water pump from Amazon.
Everything went well except that I kept skipping a tooth on rotation test. Finally got it on the mark. The old belt was original and the tensioner was making a squeal upon startup. After 10 years of use the belt wasn't cracked and had around 144,000kms however the tensioner's arm was at the 10 o clock mark which could have been catastrophic had the belt stretched as it was almost on the stopper for tension.
The idler still had grease and was the older style with hollow centre, however the tensioner was dry and noisy. Water pump had slight coolant seepage from the expansion plug.
Cost of parts: approximately $250.

305, 600kms Replaced inner & outer tie rod ends, left & right control arms (Meyle) and new front brake pads (QH)
This took me around 4.5 hours give or take as I did it in 2 stages over 8 days, first driver's side then passenger side today.
Dramatic change to the car's attitude on the road at high speed as it now tracks straight and doesn't wander with small irregularities in the road surface.
Cost of parts approximately $220

Checked the Mahle filter which has done 4K and looks like new. Cleaned oil filter housing; very little debris.
Cost $45.45

322,000 kms oil consumption seems higher with 5W 30 Chief oil. Topped up with 1.5 litres of mineral 10W 30 oil after only 4K.
Topped coolant level.
Replaced passenger side main beam headlight globe.
