Glad to help sk8wagon. I've never used one so do not know the longevity but you should be able to use it. Being a Universal Type it is very long so you should be fine to back it up at least an 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch. Pull slightly towards you during loosening and tightening. The blades must be folded (0.45 Video) in order to go through the drain plug hole and should be around 1/2 inch.sk8wagon wrote:That's the one!! In the ebay pic, it does look like it can be unscrewed a good ways before it separates. I still wouldn't try it since I don't know what holds the retaining part in place or if it is that long.BKM98 S70 T5 wrote:-
It is likely this item. Like a dry wall toggle they are afraid it will become a onetime use item. Someone may have installed it due to strip threads on the oil pan drain hole.

Thanks BKM! I
If you lose it in the pan it should not be a problem as it will remain in the bottom of the pan. Take a small nut and submerge it in a shallow pan of clean motor oil and try to get it to move side to side or up. The Weight and Viscosity will not allow it to move freely. The question is why the person before you opt for this? No more crush washers, no tools, stripped threads?
