Top radiator hose (Gates-with Volvo labelling and part No' still visible) has started weeping coolant under pressure due to hairline fracture of the moulded 3-way junction design of the hose which forms the connection point for the overflow return hose to the coolant reservoir.
Fitted new Febi-Bilstein replacement hose and topped up coolant after burping the system of airlocks.
The rubber sections of the old top hose all looked in good condition. The failure (weak part) was clearly the moulded polyurethane section. Literally crumbled when lightly poked with a small screwdriver.
2002 V40 (Nordic) Red.

Right side rear door window regulator / motor unit packed up suddenly. Could not get window to wind up.
Terrible whining noise and grinding.
Removed inside trim etc to find the cables were mangled around the regulator motor spool and frayed.
Obtained a good, working complete used regulator/motor unit salvaged from a 2000 V40 being identical for $55.00 NZ.
Easy to refit and all working again smoothly.

7/10/2020. Mileage at 124,810 km's.
Oil changed today. Used Castrol Edge 'full synthetic. 5W-40.
Oil filter cartridge replaced with Purolator L15315.
Also carried out another single 'drain and fill' for transmission fluid. (20,000km's approx since last done so felt it was a good idea.)
Used Chief multi ATF as on previous occasion as it worked well and compatible. (i.e. synthetic and 3309 spec'd)
Nice smooth changes on test run.
