Update re Trico blades in my 2004 V70...
- The FRONT wiper blades by Trico were installed Apr. 2018.
Roughly 3.5 yrs later, they start to rip at the edges (car is parked outside).
So the sun causes dry rots etc. Roughly the lifespan of wiper rubber for cars parked outside 3-4 yrs.
- This time, for the FRONT, I use Bosch regular wipers (not the "Evolution" but the regular wipers with metal prongs).
- Regarding REAR wiper blades. The Trico 47-600 refill is not sold at local parts store but you can buy it online (ebay etc.)...I wrote the tips for my 2005 XC90 but it is exactly the same for V70:
* Re-use factory metal tabs.
* Cut the new rubber refill about 4 mm longer than the metal tabs.
- Slide the new rubber refill into 3 of the plastic prongs on the wiper arm. Then tug a bit in the middle, then slide the last part
into the 4th prong of the wiper arm.
- See the link below for the exact groove where the plastic tabs (on the wiper arm) should go into...

I used to the same refill trick on the E83 rear blade. OE blade was something like $35 and the refill $3
