1998 C70 Is it worth reusing engine oil?

Could possibly stand new oil pump o-rings if it's not picking up correctly. But you'd probably have an oil pressure light show up. Mine also shows for two seconds and ticks a few times on start up like mecheng stated.

If I don't start my car for 16+ hours I hear the lifters for a second or two but I never see an oil light.

It could be but to replace them is a major PITA. I can't think of another job as bad as dropping the pan, even with a car lift. I will try running a liter of transmission fluid in the engine for 10 minutes before I do my next oil change. I think the main problem is the oil pickup gets dirty and ATF is great for cleaning sludge but it is not as harsh as solvents, Seafoam, etc.
