I'm looking at this pic there is a bung up there (unless that is something different) and the site says for models without EGR so would it be safe to assume it is for the SAS?erikv11 wrote:I don't see the bung in that pic, is it in the pic? If so, it should be the right manifold. SAS and EGR use a different bung, most of the manifolds come with a bung for SAS and you have to sort of massage the EGR pipe to get it to hook up there.
on a side note
A little more reading leads me to believe the SAS hole in the manifold is just for the system to dump air into the exhaust for the CAT. If that is the case could I drill my own hole and just seal the valve in there myself? or would that be asking for trouble?
Give me a moment, Ill snap a picture of my manifold and post them

People have been very happy with OBX exhaust components. Here is their manifold on eBAY:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/OBX-Exhaust-Man ... 1355462397
It has a bung, you could call or email the vendor and ensure it is the right size for SAS. The correct size is M16 x 1.5 thread.
That Volvo one you linked will definitely work, just a little pricier.
You can't just drill a hole, it has to be threaded. An exhasut shop however, could drill a hole and just weld on the correct thread size bung.
I know you don't want to hear this but I volunteer that this is a perfect time to do SAS delete, SAS also makes the manifold install a bit of a pain, it is painless without it ...

Excellent! this is exactly what I was looking to find out. I might still look into the SAS delete if I have time (ps I am approximately the WORST solderer/electrical system work-doer-onner) If it's not a mechanical aspect I'm always wary about tinkering with it.
