Check with your local dealer if they can tell you where it was delivered & serviced, with a little luck it is a local car with only one or two owners that took it to one of the local dealers & they have full maintenance records (timing belt), certainly it could also be a 5 owner car from the other end of the country.

As for the maintenance you are going to do, find a reputable independent shop specializing in Volvo in your area, these cars aren't that common & many "all makes & models" shops don't know much about them, but they do have a few differences to other more common models & it can save you from costly mechanics errors if you only let people work on it that know these cars inside out.
