Pull off a turbo air hose and see if it's coated with tons of oil inside.
All the above. Blue in the morning as I know I have bad seals. I haven"t (get on it) in a long time. Afraid I might sling parts at passing cars.
Just saying to myself the other day how I could pull into the driveways of my clients and not worry about any oil from this older car. Not like that right now, but good weather this weekend I will attack the problem(s) and dry up the flow.

Swap careers into the oil business and advertise free samples delivered?

Ok, back to try being helpful.....

I guess the film is just oil spraying up from the road...yikes.

I took one of the lower lines to a hydraulic shop in town and they rebuilt it for... $22. They claim it should last me 15 years so I'll see.

When I purchased a line for my daughters S70 GLT it cost me about $173.

The leaks are worse than the harley's I use to work on. I'll bring this back to the top with news after the weekend. If I can fix these lines and figure out about the leak in or around the turbo, it will be a good weekend.
Is there anything to worry about taking the oil thermostat off and cleaning it, other than the install of the "O" ring?

Did the oil line change yesterday. Never start a project when you need to drive to work the next day. It was as difficult as everyone had mentioned. Yes the 10mm was a PITA to put back in and the oil thermostat "O" ring is a great design "yea right". Fifty miles to work and it doesn't show any signs of leaking. I cut the old hose off with a hacksaw and used the hose clamp cheap fix and Gates hose.
Didn't get a chance to look at the turbo, so that will be Friday or Saturday's project.

The more cars I work on, the more I find myself thinking "who the #$%# had the brilliant idea to put this HERE?!" Some cars must be made to be put together and the whole engine dropped in assembled than to be worked on ever again.

Well, one leak down!
