Here's more pictures.
I'd like to delete those oversized pics. I don't know why, but I can't find the edit button on my post. I found it before. idk.

There one ding on the rear panel. It's really not even a ding, it's a tiny ripple. and one small ding on the roof. No wavey bodywork, and no crappy paint work. It shines like glass.

One thing I forgot to mention. The resonator has a small hole. Can't hear it in the car or anywhere around the car, but you can when standing behind it. It gives it kind of a cool European sport car sound, But that's not my thing. I was going to cut it out and put the muffler direct, but never got around to it.

I hated this car when I got it, I got talked into it. I had my heart set on a Subaru Legacy Outback. But the car really grew on me. Especially with all the compliments I get on it everywhere I go. I really hate parting with it now.

Was like this when I got it. If it got worse I was just going to remove it. Never got any worse.

Cargo area was a mess when I got it. It's been reupholstered. I went with gray because it doesn't show dirt, and I couldn't find the proper tan.

Motor and Trans have never been worked on. All harnesses, bolts and hardware are untouched. It's the reason I bought a high mileage car at the time. Oil stays clean between changes (no sludge) and never needs top-off. Though I never did the full trans flush, I did a drain and fill twice (75% change) Fluid is clean.

No, they cannot be "polished' they need to be stripped and painted like the bumper needs to be.
Kindly post pictures of the two dings, roof and wherever it is on the side.

I can't get pictures of the dings, there too small. No dolby, No stable/traction control. As far as I know it's the only options not in the car. No dual exhaust that year either

Well, the car is gone. Kinda sad to see it go. A kid about 19 or 20 bought it, so it's probably going to die a miserable death of abuse, mishaps and hard driving. I could hear the turbo winding up as he drove up the street behind my house. I just hope he doesn't hurt himself. It's a heavy car with a lot of mid to top end speed that doesn't turn very well.

I really don't feel the car was a match for him, but who am I to decide. He made the decision with his mother. Once I set my mind last month to finally sell it. That was it. I dropped the price $500 and he showed up. I was still getting calls from all over the country, but nobody wants to pay for shipping. coincidentally, today while I was wrapping up with Zach, I got a PM from here. Someone was "very interested" and left a couple of local numbers. Last week I got another call from a local Volvo fan, but I had already taken a deposit from Zach.

The ideal owner for that car is an adult Volvo fan with another primary car, a few extra bucks to keep it maintained and VERY handy. This is not a kid's car, and it's NOT a daily driver. It's a really nice road-trip/second car. While I sold it with no mechanical issues except a dead headlight wiper, To use this car as a daily driver, stop and go around town, it's going to deteriorate very rapidly. Especially in the hands of a young guy. I hope he at least garages it.

If I was more aggressive at selling it for the past few months I probably could have gotten the more than 5k I was originally asking. I got $4500.

Do not worry! It is in good hands. This is my second Volvo and while I do enjoy the turbo I still love it for what it is. I will actually be working in a auto shop this summer in Yellowstone, it is garaged and already has a nice second coat of wax on it. It is a pleasure owning this car as I have been looking for one of these for years. Happy trails and enjoy the jeep. Thanks again-Zach

Congrats on a great car! When I was young my first car was a 67 firebird. Several people said I would tear it up; well I did! Then I rebuilt it; 33 years later I sold it. It was a pristine example of the brand.
Sounds to me the car is in good hands! Keep us posted on any mods or improvements.

C'mon let's move this to the regular forums where the new owner should start a new thread

It sold for $4500. I lowered the price for the peeling rear bumper. It also had a pin hole in the resonator. And I didn't even realize the rear brakes hit metal until the buyer pointed it out. A lot of purists would argue it also needed a timing belt. I would have gone another 25k (2 years) as per my mechanics advice. Otherwise the car was probably the best example you'll find. It's a rare car, the guy who bought it had been looking for one for a long time. I heard from him last week, he loves the car. No problems except he wants to replace a good fuel pump for some reason. I could have sold the car five times over if shipping wasn't so expensive.
