Buy only OEM or IPD HD strut mount. Definably no Raybestos mount, less than 1 year.

The seat is NOT the bump stop. That is a separate part and if you look on Amazon you'll find a budget Monroe kit with a bellows cover for P80s and non AWD P2s for small change if you need it. Also Febi Bilstein make a bump stop available separately also on Amazon for the above cars.

Often the bump stop is melted away if very old.

I had actually not even put the bump stops in any of my rebuilds.
Bellows, yes.
These are my vehicles, so as to understand I was not doing a reman for a customer.
I don't wrench for money anymore anyway and do not have to guarantee a safety issue.

I did replace all the air bags and seatbelt incendiaries.

No SRS light on my dash.

i'm waiting on the parts to replace the spring seat; it is obviously shot. if it needs a bump stop, i'll have one of those in hand. But here is a key question: how will i know if the strut itself is shot? thanks. Rick

If the strut compresses easily by hand and won't rebound it is done. They don't seem to have a lot of middle ground where they are kind of worn out, they tend to be either good or bad.
