2004 xc70 shrut/spring assembly

As far as the dangers of spring compressors, to my understanding, the xc70s are a different animal than the v70. I compressed the springs on my old 240 without hesitation, but the xc has pretty long springs that has the tendency to require two sets of spring compressors. I did not confirm this, I just decided to let people with pro equipment handle it.

I just used free loaner ones from local Autozone, one pair worked fine both front and back springs on my xc70, not doing it would be preferred and also marking and getting it lined up for a ssembly added a few steps. Pleasantly surprised when I could just pull out shocks in rear on the V70 without removing springs, wish they were both like that.
