Never mind. That's a welded nut on a plate with two other bolts.

It is not uncommon to miss one of the locating holes in the individual exhaust manifold gaskets when reassembling. That will give you your exhaust leak. On an NA it isn't a particularly bad job to redo. Sounds like more of a pain in the ass on a turbo.

Let me tell you,it only took 2.5 hours to remove the head because I had done it before, but I am on day two removing the turbo cause I am trying to figure out how to get to everything with out damage.

That's why I drive NAs. I'll put up with the anemic acceleration to avoid the repair hassles.

Eureka! It was the exhaust gasket not seated right. What a pain. Now I know the exhaust system intimately.
