Hello again,

Oh ok, sounds good, i didnt realize you meant change the whole line, now i know.

For a temp fix i went to Advance Auto and found a couple small parts that will work out temporarily anyway. They didnt have any elbows that would fit the very very small line, and i didnt know at the time that you could change the whole line, so i ended up with a tiny tube and a connector that fits a regular size elbow.
Not that it's that great, but here's a pic:

That's probably because I've been driving one since 2015 and nobody has offered to pay me yet.

erikv11 is right.

Even from factory, some of these Volvo designs are over-complicated for nothing: an elbow, a hard line here, another elbow there, when in reality, one can simply run the whole length with standard vacuum hose, as long as the wall is thick to prevent collapse under vacuum.

If you simply use standard vacuum hose, you will be fine. These standard hoses last about 10y/100K miles. Replacing them is easy like 1-2-3.

Hello again,

ES:
Re-electing Obama? (Ha ha, just kidding of course, but everyone loves to make jokes about the Pres now and then. I dont think he's that bad really...certainly not as bad as the news makes him out to be most of the time.)

Thanks for the link. I see they even have different colors, wow :-)
Hopefully their shipping charge isnt too bad.

Just one more question about the silicone tubing...
Do you have to use hose clamps at either end of the line?

Hello again,

I tried to get one of those little elbows off today as i thought i would replace it. The thing is, it would not come off of the line. It comes off the nipple once the hose clamp is removed (which took some doing also) but the elbow wont come off the line.

So i have to wonder now, are these elbows supposed to be glued to the line with some type of glue, or is it just that is was on there for so long it stuck naturally somehow?

I got a couple new regular elbows and wanted to replace at least that one anyway, as well as the other fix for the tiny tube.

Thanks...
