How much coolant are you loosing? If less than 8 oz per 90 days, why worry about it. Other than that RussB's idea sounds great to me.

I agree I'm not losing enough to worry about. But, If everything is off and the coolant is drained its a good time to try to improve the situation. My lower TB cover fell apart. Its literally in about 5 pieces. I planned to repair it somehow today but its just too brittle. It broke in two more places just from picking it up to examine. So I'm done until I get a new part. I'm focusing on getting the water pump mating surface ultra clean and cleaning up this nipple. It wasnt as bad as I remembered. The corrosion cleaned up and its pretty smooth now. The extend I planned to use as a corrosion preventative is only good to 200F and most paint cant handle exposure to coolant so I'm not sure there's much more I can do other than slapping on a little RTV sealant. I'll have to order the silicone hose and do that at another time.
