We were on our way to pick up the girls and I was diligently rolling doobies on the glove box door. Suddenly Richard hits the brakes hard, my head is now stuck in the glove box and the lit doobie on the dash goes down the windshield vent! Oh SHI....! Richard is pissed his dad is going to kill him. I pull my head out of the glove box bleeding and reach over and turn the fan on high cause I don't care how pissed Richard is I am hurting here! It takes awhile but then the smoke starts and it keeps coming and coming and now you can barley see out of the damn car. Richard is screaming like a loon until we both just start laughing. This went on for about an hour before all the smoke cleared. The car reeked, we tried 3 cans of air freshener and sticking a couple of pine sent air freshener trees in the vents to no avail. The old man had our asses for breakfast, lunch and dinner and Richard wasn't allowed to drive the Buick again!

I've narrowed it down, it isn't coming through the vents as I thought it was. Its coming from somewhere under the driver seat from what I can tell, I took a quick look under the chair and didn't notice anything. It could be further under there though, to where I have to take the chair out. Has anyone had issues with the seat motors possibly?

Things I've done to see where the smoke originates (I'm driving obviously so I can just look all around the car while it happens)
- Closed vents
- Fan motor off
- Radio off (after market so it wouldn't surprise me if an aftermarket amp was down there)

All I've really noticed was that it was coming from the back seat area, my chair doesn't get warm so I don't think it's actually catching fire, the thermostat for the heated seat is removed, I took it out to get old connectors off and put new ones but it's been way too cold here and haven't had a shop or garage to borrow to put it back yet. I took a "glance" at the wires for it and they don't seem to be burned, there is actually no bare wire showing. (They snapped off the thermostat, which is why I'm putting new connectors on it.)
