Sticker on the ETS will give date. SIPS on later cars is a pain and needs a dealer or high end scanner to reset. It won't reset itself

would 2000 be considered "later" cars??? I have worked on a few C70 and S70s where I had to take out the seats to do work, put the battery on when seats were still out of the car and SRS lamp came on. Soon as I connected the seats back in the light went off again...... may be in this case also??

The break point is 1999, when the low Speed CanBus came into production. The SIPS are no longer fired by the sensor on the seat but by the SRS controller (?). When they miss signals they fault and must be reset by either Full VIDA subscription ( dealer, not clone software) or a higher end scanner
...but maybe one can get lucky and self reset? There are a lot of experiences here of a dealer reset required.
On editable: per Mike VIDA clone will reset SIPS on 1999- on, full VIDA not needed

A clone Vida and Dice has no trouble resetting SRS or SIPS errors. Done it myself on my 2000 V70 when I had a connector issue on the orange seat wire. Also read about many other posters with a clone being able to reset.
A scanner such as Autel EU-702 or MD-801 will also handle this.
You only need a full subscription of Vida when a software download is required.

Excellent. I have a clone VIDA with DICE. But was using my autel Maxisys pro but it could not reset Srs on this model
For some reason it kept saying this function is not available at this time. It seems faulty signal in both belt buckles and missing signal
To left sips. I will try VIDA tomorrow. Still searching for a fix to my ets light I took out the throttlebody and cleaned it really well. When I first started the car the ets light was off. Once I pligged my autel in. And read codes it said system pass and the. The light came back on. Where does the connector end up for the unit?? I know it's somewhere under the intake but where???

Here is the sticker on the throttlebody that I have from an 01 S80 non turbo. My 2000 V70 has a Denso ECM and Denso MAF sensor if this helps.
Here's the ECM picture... will the above Throttlebody work???

If I've got it right that's a Late 2011 MM throttle body, so it has been replaced in the last 5 years.
If it's well under 100k miles, should still be good

Yes, the TB looks in very good shape so I hope it will work out.
so you think this unit will "Match" with the Denso ECM and MAF?

Did you have a chance to check with the dealer for service records? Can you see the date stamp on the water pump?
You are better off with used timing belt parts from the junk yard than getting a new kit from after market suppliers. I have literally walked away from people that ask me to help them install after market timing belt kits. Simply could not do that to them.
